Arizona Home Missions

Statement of Purpose

MINISTRIES – Ministering to the lost is the highest priority of this division.  Every program, project, function, meeting and initiative will have at its heart the purpose of the church – “seeking and saving the lost.”  We are continually working toward reaching North America’s communities and culture groups through approved ministries, programs, and departments operating under the Home Missions Division banner.

REVIVAL – The Home Missions Division seeks to create a revival identity within the fellowship of the United Pentecostal Church.  It is our belief that it is in the divine plan of God to send sweeping revival to North America.  Therefore, it is our intent to play a significant part in facilitating that revival within the local church, district, and fellowship.

CHURCH PLANTING – Planting new congregations is the central focus and primary purpose of the Home Missions Division.  We plant churches utilizing several methods: Metro Church Plant – Population centers of more than one million; Mother-Daughter Metro Church Plant – Population centers of more than five-hundred-thousand. In cooperation with an established mother church; Home Missions Status Church – Conventional church planting; Daughter Congregation – Cooperative effort between an established congregation, pastor and church planter.  The church planter works under the authority and oversight of the pastor; Preaching Point – A cooperative effort between an established congregation, pastor and church planter.  The church planter works under the authority and oversight of the pastor.

CHURCH GROWTH – The Home Missions Division strives to provide tools for training and growth within every local church and for every minister in North America.  Church Growth opportunities are also made available via seminars and conferences, web casts, and recorded events; each designed to strengthen the pastor, minister, lay-leader, and local church member.

POSITIVE CHURCH IMAGE – The Home Missions Division has undertaken the task of helping to raise the image of the church through national and international advertising campaigns.  It is the desire of this division to continue to proclaim the message of Apostolic Bible Salvation utilizing every approved means at our disposal.

Mission Statement The General Home Missions Division is an evangelism and growth agency of the United Pentecostal Church International working through approved personnel to fulfill the intent of the Great Commission with special geographic emphasis on the United States and Canada and their respective population centers, subcultures, ethnic groups, and institutions. Home Missions aggressively enlists, approves, and places missionaries called of God to plant churches throughout North America and to provide encouragement and assistance to mother churches that plant a daughter congregation. The division creates and makes available church growth and leadership materials, seminars, and conferences for pastors, ministers, lay-leaders, and church members.

A core value of this department shall be the belief that we exist to serve the United Pentecostal Church International relative to the church’s responsibilities of evangelizing North America, growing existing churches, and training leaders.
